9. Using the software
Watching a TV channel/listen to a radio station.
Open the EPG screen [8.5] by clicking on the EPG button in the control panel.
Select the channel submenu and double click on the desired channel. This can be either a TV or
radio channel. TV output is shown on the main screen, for radio stations a multi-colour visual
effect in sync with the music is displayed.
Use the or button in the control panel to switch to the previous or next channel. Press the
browse button ( ) to open a channel list.
Click to resume play-back of the last viewed channel.
Click to select the desired subtitles (when available).
Click to select the desired audio (when available).
To select teletext, first open the advanced control panel ( ), open the DTV control window
( ) and click on the teletext icon ( ).
Note: the availability of teletext depends on the broadcasting station.
Time shift is used to pause a program. First set the TimeShift Buffer size in the DTV setting (via
options §8.2, tab DTV). Click on to freeze play-back while recording continues. Click
again to continue watching the program. Click two times to stop TimeShift and return to live
view.
Start recording a live show by clicking on the record button . The floating panel ( ) opens
(see §8.3). Files are recorded in MPEG2 or MP3format.
Note: set the recording directory and file format via options ( §8.2, tab Video).
